Newport/Narrabeen Lake

I know that recently I have been shooting pretty much in black & white, so this weeks ones include more colour shots for those who are more partial to them (of course I couldn't help a few sneaky B&W all the same). These were taken at Newport Beach and Narrabeen Lake (near Jamieson Park), one of the few places around northern beaches where sunset photos aren't half bad. Man I miss the west coast at times like these...

Black & White Sydney II

This week saw another trip to the city. The project? Black & White architecture shots for an assignment (ok so some are more landscape than architecture but I digress...) Also there was a rainstorm part-way through which made for a couple of nice reflection shots. Enjoy!

Hunting waterfalls

So this weekend I went in search of some hidden Sydney metropolitan gems-namely waterfalls (which I hadn't really shot before). As it turned out two of the best were only 15mins drive from home so off I went. Both of them were particularly hard to get to the bottom of (for the best angles), but totally worth it when I did manage to get there. And in fact there was a third one but I ran out of time trying to get to it so had to give up this time at least. Anyway I hope you enjoy the results!!

La Perouse...

So this last weekend I managed to get to La Perouse for some early morning shots plus a bit of an exploration of the abandoned fortifications just around the corner in Cape Banks. I also couldn't help but try out my new 35mm lens which arrived last week. Sydney has a lot of areas that are under appreciated but well worth a look. See if you don't agree...
